A Terrible Loss

Corey Fannin | Circeo Fannin

Dear friends and colleagues,

We have tragically lost a truly remarkable, charismatic and kind person way too soon. With immeasurable sadness and despair, we report the death of Corey Fannin on December 25, 2020. He was a dedicated father, husband, friend and a brilliant lawyer who served his family, clients and community tirelessly.

On a personal level, he was a trusted partner, confidant and friend who made us laugh until we cried on a daily basis. To say he will be missed is not enough. The loss of such a young, dynamic and accomplished lawyer is impossible to put into words. There was no one quite like Corey, and those of us who knew him well are so fortunate. He made an impact on everyone he met and lived a purposeful life dedicated to serving others. Please keep his wife, Liz, and two sons, Henry and Owen, in your prayers.

Please, please reach out for help when you need it. Someone is always there who will help you, and it will be okay.

Corey’s obituary can be found here.

The Kentucky Justice Association has also set up a fund for you to make donations for the benefit of the Fannin Family (e.g., for Corey’s children’s education and other expenses). You can make an online donation here, or mail a check made payable to the Kentucky Justice Association with Fannin in the memo line.
